COLOUR with Hundertwasser


Hi, This is our new activity about colour that we will do in class this week, you can take a look at it!

COOL AND WARM COLOURS WITH HUNDERTWASSER



HISTORY: FRIEDENSREICH HUNDERTWASSER

He was born in 1928 in Vienna.
Born Friedrich Stowasser, he changed his name to Friedensreich Hundertwasser. His name, Friedensreich Hundertwasser means, "Peace-Kingdom Hundred-Water".
He died in the year 2000 on his way from New Zealand to Europe on board the Queen Elizabeth 2.
Hundertwasser was a painter, architect, ecologist and visionary.

MATERIALS:
Felt tip pens
Pencils

Drawing paper.

DISCUSSION
Discuss Hundertwasser in class after listening to your teacher’s explanation and Power Point Presentation. Describe the painting style of Hundertwasser. Try to understand Hundertwasser’s world. Observe and discuss the style, technique, and colour used by him. Then think about the differences between cool and warm colours.

ASIGMENT:
Using the painting of Hundertwasser given for your teacher, that is divided in two parts, colour each part with warm and cool colours.

CLASS CRITIQUE
Share and contrast your finished work with your class-mates.
